Endure Dance
Endure Dance (Endure Productions) was founded in 2006 by Kim Tyler. The company stages large-scale productions that move across hip-hop, modern, jazz, ballet, and tap, bringing full-company work to the Center's stage.
The Harold Washington Cultural Center is a working home for Chicago artists. Our resident arts partners rehearse, teach, and perform here, and their classes, jams, and productions keep the building alive between our own shows. Residency at the Center is a long-term commitment between the institution and the artists who shape its stage.
M.A.D.D. Rhythms (Making A Difference Dancing) is a renowned Chicago tap ensemble, and it has called the Harold Washington Cultural Center home since 2010. The company was founded by Bril Barrett, an NEA National Heritage Fellow.
At the Center, M.A.D.D. Rhythms runs its Tap Academy, hosts monthly tap jams, and anchors the Chicago Tap Summit. A residency this deep shows what an arts partnership at the Center can become.
The best introduction is in person. Check the events calendar for the next tap jam, Tap Academy session, or Summit date.
